> Day 5 – Phnom Kulen, Koh Ker & Journey to Kampong Thom
Depart for the sacred mountain of Phnom Kulen, birthplace of the Khmer Empire. Highlights include waterfalls, riverbed carvings, and the reclining Buddha.
Continue to the remote temple complex of Koh Ker, once a rival capital. Its pyramid temple, Prasat Thom, rises dramatically above the forest.
En route, stop at the historic Kampong Kdei Bridge, an impressive Angkor-era stone bridge still in use today.
Arrive in Kampong Thom for overnight.
> Day 6 – Pre-Angkorian Wonders of Kampong Thom
In the morning, explore Sambor Prei Kuk, an ancient pre-Angkorian capital with atmospheric temples nestled in forest.
Continue to the vast and rarely visited Preah Khan of Kampong Svay, one of the largest temple complexes in Cambodia, offering a true sense of exploration and solitude.
Return to your hotel in Kampong Thom.
Overnight in Kampong Thom
> Day 7 – Departure or Transfer
After breakfast, travel back toward Siem Reap for your departure flight.
Alternatively, continue onward to Phnom Penh for your next destination, depending on your travel plans.
